When the painting is not enough and you want to recreate a particular visual and tactile impression on a wall, textured effects ensure a very modern expressive result.
Literally, it consists in reproducing the visual effect of different materials by using sustainable minerals based on lime, clay, powdered marble and gypsum that add to the thickness of the colour and the roughness of the wall. This is how we recreate wrinkled, embossed, brushed, sandblasted textures on walls and backdrops and ensure a low VOC (Volatile Organic Compounds) rate.
To experiment with new design solutions and emphasize the texture of our tactile effects, we love embellishing them with metal leaf (gold, silver, copper, palladium): metal foils always create suggestive colour and light vibrations.
These are the best choice if you want an impressive surface in a sophisticated or urban style. In both cases, the final effect is the same: a perfectly imperfect wall!
Distressed walls are ideal for places that have survived the passage of time: we can leave traces of stone or brick walls, existing ornaments or old wallpapers to get a result that is uneven but fascinating.
Patinas, on the other hand, use painted decorations to get a lighter aged effect than with a distressed wall: by using a brush or spatula, we can simulate the discoloration and sedimentation of dust in the wall painting.
Both patinas and distressed walls are among the most appreciated interior décor by architects and interior designers as they add a strong personality to homes, shops or rooms in an industrial style.
